On April 16, 2009, F.E.A.S.T. (Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment of Eating Disorders) officially became a "Nonstock" Corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia (US).

We now begin the process of applying for 501(c)3 nonprofit status with the US IRS.

I want to take this opportunity to express deep gratitude to the many people around the world who helped F.E.A.S.T. come together. To the many families of the Around the Dinner Table online forum who formed the community that brought us together; to the activist parents who supported the initial ideas and volunteered along the way; to the family who sent a letter of such trusting generosity that birthed the organization;  to the core of parents who formed the Parent Council and donated so many hours to our initial year; to the financial contributors from $5 to $1500 who keep the lights on; to Mark Williams, Jasmine Blackmeir, and Lauren Goodman for pro-bono services and unfailing support; to Chris Berka and Sarah Krevans for painstaking work on our incorporation; to the new F.E.A.S.T. Board of Directors; to my daughter and husband and son for making it possible for me to do this work and for their encouragement.
