Join F.E.A.S.T. families in a global movement to change the way the world supports eating disorder patients!

In honor of World Eating Disorder Day on June 2, F.E.A.S.T. will be training parents and others affected by eating disorders in the family in being effective advocates in their communities and beyond. In a real-time action that will kick off the coming year of advocacy you are invited to join Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh as she walks you through how to speak up, speak out, get involved, and make a difference:

Learn to tweet
Use apps like Pinterest and Instagram and Facebook to support others out there speaking out
Be part of a wave of activities around the world
Join real-time events online
Sign the WEDD pledge
Find out who is doing what and where on World Eating Disorders Day
Learn simple rules for effective advocacy
Get tips and ideas on channeling emotional reactions
Local, regional, global, virtual, and on the ground activities
Connect in real time with others who care about the issues
Join a group that will keep the momentum going all year
Spend a few minutes, a few hours, or a yearlong commitment
Personal guidance from other advocates, including me, June 2

Last year, WEDD reached millions. This year the theme is partnerships and relationships and F.E.A.S.T. is committed to our relationship with you: families around the world who want to make a difference. Join others as we work together on June 2 as a group. You’ll join an online real-time conversation and news updates and tips – and you can ask questions and chat with me and others.

Let’s show the world that families care about eating disorders and that our relationships with one another, like the ones within our families, enrich our lives and make us stronger!

We promise no one needs to be an advocate alone, and there are no bad questions. From how to set up an anonymous social media account, to how to post a photo on Facebook, to where to look online for WEDD news, we’ll do it together!

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to be an advocate for the issue of eating disorders, or any topic, here’s a chance. You’ll “make friends and influence people” at the same time.

Want to join in? Want more information? Join F.E.A.S.T.’s WEDD action group and be part of our new Parent Advocate Training Team: email me today at Laura@FEAST-ed.org now to be on the mailing list!

Your fellow advocate,
Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh
