Family First! It’s a F.E.A.S.T. rule. And, like any family, we like to brag on everyone in it.
Starting with our board of directors. These volunteers from around the world give their time to help F.E.A.S.T. fulfill our mission:
F.E.A.S.T.’s Mission is to support caregivers by providing information and mutual support, promoting evidence-based treatment, and advocating for research and education to reduce the suffering associated with eating disorders.
You can see our 2020 Board Officers and members on our site, but a few notes on retirements and new roles.
2019 RETIRED BOARD MEMBERS
Rachel Polonsky, one of F.E.A.S.T.’s original members and board members, has served on the board for all the years our bylaws allow, so we have to give her time off. In her tenure on the board, she has also most recently served as our Treasurer during a critical few years of the organizational and technical overhaul of our record-keeping and reporting. By seeing us through that period and making sure we had a clear transition plan Rachel leaves that position in excellent condition and set a high standard for all of us that will serve us well, as she has.
Belinda Caldwell retired from the board at the end of 2019, as she has become CEO of Eating Disorders Victoria, in Australia. We will not be losing Belinda’s valuable knowledge and experience as she will become a F.E.A.S.T. Advisor. We are grateful to Belinda for the years she has spent as a F.E.A.S.T. board member and we look forward to keeping her wisdom and experience as an Advisor and very proud to have had her as a Magic Plate awardee as well.
Sue Klassen retired in 2019 as well, but continuing as a volunteer for new initiatives.
