Without this we would still be floundering - I have recommended it to many others. An absolute lifesaver

A useful manual which uses metaphors to describe our emotional responses to eating disorder behavior, a patients readiness or resistance for change and how to work towards recovery.

I found this book most useful in helping me control my reactions to ED. The animal metaphors were helpful and the practical advice was easy to follow and implement!

This book teaches a technique called motivational interviewing by metaphors to explain our emotional responses. It encourages calm consistent care to help cope with caring for loved one. It is the first book I read after my D got sick. It helped to explain how to separate her from her ED, and how not to get caught in ED talk.
