At F.E.A.S.T., a crucial part of our mission is to turn parents into empowered caregivers by giving them the information, resources, tools, and support that they need to guide their child toward recovery. We have figured out a way to do all of that in an efficient and organized manner, and the best part is that it all happens in just 30 short days! It’s called our “First 30 Days” service, and the pilot starts today!
Here’s how it works:
We’ve set up a course of 30 emails over 30 days with about a 30 minute lesson, including a short homework quiz. Each day is introduced by a different parent from somewhere in the world: giving a range of voices and real faces. On the 31st day we ask parents to fill out a survey to help us improve the program for the next set of families. The lessons are for all eating disorder diagnoses, all genders, and all countries, and cover what families need to know about caregiving, not just treatment. By the end of the 30 days, parents who complete the program will have been introduced to all of our F.E.A.S.T. services and resources, and each day they are given access to our Parent Support team by live chat, email, or phone for any questions.
We’re really excited about this innovative new service! We’ve run a few dozen of our core volunteers through the 30 days and edited and improved them as we went along. And now we are ready to offer this service to YOU!
Today we are starting a one-month pilot period where we recruit new families to try it. Register here to sign up and start your journey of educated and empowered caregiving through F.E.A.S.T.
