As we planned FEAST of Knowledge, we recognized that F.E.A.S.T. is composed of parents who are in all different places along their eating disorder journey, following many different paths. We wanted to make sure that the conference offers something for everyone and has broad appeal to parents in all stages of their child’s illness. This was not easy; but it was important, and we truly believe that FEAST of Knowledge can offer new information, resources, and skills to the entire spectrum of F.E.A.S.T. families and to providers as well.
Each session covers a relevant topic, and will be presented by engaging and knowledgeable speakers. Many of them are well known as experts in the professional eating disorders sphere. All of the sessions together form a powerful, compelling, and interesting program that you really don’t want to miss!
The final speaker of the conference is Kristina Saffran. On her path to recovery from an eating disorder when she was only 15 years old, Kristina co-founded Project HEAL, a US based non-profit with the mission to ensure that every person with an eating disorder has access to treatment. She is a pioneer, a leader, and an inspirational figure in the eating disorders community; a shining example of how well life can be lived upon recovering from an eating disorder. Kristina will be speaking about “How To Recover, For Good” and will share her lived experience, insights, and perspective on recovery in what we are sure will be a highlight of FEAST of Knowledge.
