Parents new to learning about their son or daughter’s eating disorder diagnosis have an urgent need for information and support. F.E.A.S.T. is here because we’ve BEEN there. We are parents who have had to learn and gather our resources as we pursue treatment for our loved ones and “keep the wheels on” with family and work responsibilities at the same time.
Parents on the search for information have a new tool now: the “CHAT” button on the F.E.A.S.T. site puts you in instant contact with our staff or volunteers who can help you learn about resources in your area, on our site, and around the world. We cannot provide or replace professional services nor will we tell you what is best for your situation, but we have a wealth of experience connecting parents to resources. And, because we’ve “been there” we can also extend the hand of support and lessen the isolation and worry by letting you know you are not alone.
You, too, may one day be one of those supporting newer families. But today, just click the CHAT button and get connected.
(F.E.A.S.T.’s services to families are free, but donations to make this possible are welcome and needed.)
