As announced earlier this month, F.E.A.S.T’s Board of Directors published a Position Statement addressing the controversial Kurbo dieting app for children. Many families in the community also signed a petition asking for the app to be withdrawn so children could not access it.
Last Friday, members of the community gathered at the New York City headquarters for Weight Watchers to deliver the 150,000+ names on the petition alongside Change.org staff and the BALANCE eating disorder treatment center which started the petition.
A F.E.A.S.T. parent was there for that gathering, to represent families and be a visible representative of a much larger number.
