“Smart Technology for Anorexia Nervosa Recovery: A Focus Group for the Post-Acute Treatment of Anorexia Nervosa – Recruiting US Participants”
This study is being conducted by researchers at the University of Kansas and Children’s Mercy – Kansas City.
The purpose of this study is to develop and test a new mobile phone app that is designed to help improve treatment outcomes for people with Anorexia nervosa who are currently in treatment. You will be asked to attend a group session via Zoom. You will be asked to view intervention content, answer interactive multiple-choice quiz questions, complete written prompts, and answer assessment questions. Participation in the research study is expected to take no longer than 2 hours.
To participate, you or your child must: be ages 13-18, read and speak fluent English, be medically stable, be currently seeking or previously attended treatment for Anorexia nervosa; not be diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability, current psychotic disorder, uncorrected visual impairment, or a medical condition that affects appetite or weight. Parents or guardians will also be asked to participate.
