Welcome to the F.E.A.S.T. UK Task Force page
The F.E.A.S.T. UK Task Force is open to any UK parents interested in working as part of a team towards improving treatment and resources for eating disorders in the UK.
The purpose of the Task Force is to:
- share information about eating disorder treatment
- address eating disorders issues and concerns in the UK
- raise awareness about F.E.A.S.T, promote F.E.A.S.T’s goals, and encourage use of the Around the Dinner Table forums
The task force reports, via its chair (a rotating position), to the FEAST Board, who in turn can offer the support of an international body to the activities of UK families.
If you would like to be part of this group, or to be on the mailing list to stay aware of what is going on, please join us — the more voices we have, the more powerful we become; and the wider our geographic spread across the UK, the better our knowledge base about national practices — the good, the bad, and all that lies in between — and the more meaningful our influence over what is most important to UK families, in real places and in real time.
If you are interested, please contact Fiona (West Country), Helen (Wales), Susan (East) or Erica (Surrey/London) at the addresses below. Our area limits only where we live — our interests extend countrywide, and we would love to have representatives from every nook and cranny of this area of the world. Please join us in our mission — all are welcome, no matter your level of potential engagement — we welcome a spectrum from ‘have time only to read the notices’ through ‘happy to march with banners’ — albeit we have yet to actually take to the streets (although we have been known to raise a fair amount of conversation at a conference!).
We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
Erica Husain, UK Task Force Chair and F.E.A.S.T. Board Member (firstname.lastname@example.org)
