Judy Krasna lives in Israel. She is the mother of four (25-year-old triplet girls and a 17-year-old son), mother-in-law of two, and grandmother of an adorable baby girl.

Her daughter Gabriella was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa 10 years ago. Judy has experienced both the best and the worst treatment that Israel has to offer, and she has made it her life’s mission to help other parents navigate the system and avoid the pitfalls that she and her husband fell into along the way.

Judy is a parent advocate who works with the Ministry of Health in Israel on improving care for eating disorder patients. She also advocates globally through the AED, serving as co-chair of both the Patient/Carer Committee and the Stakeholders United SIG, which aims to bring together all stakeholders in both dialogue and action.

In addition, Judy writes a blog on the English language Israeli news website Times of Israel on eating disorder related topics (https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/author/judy-krasna/) and also offers free peer support to parents, both in Israel and abroad. She founded the Israel F.E.A.S.T task force, and has been involved with F.E.A.S.T’s outreach committee in the past.

Judy is a Task Force Chair for Israel. She is also a Board of Directors nominee, and will start next year if elected at F.E.A.S.T.’s Board of Director’s meeting in November.
