A few months ago, F.E.A.S.T. leadership met with NCEED’s Director, Dr. Christine Peat, about how we could join forces and work together. F.E.A.S.T. strongly believes in finding like-minded partners with similar goals who we can collaborate with to increase our impact.
NCEED (The National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders) was founded in the US in 2018 and includes clinicians, researchers, and advocates who specialize in eating disorder care. They provide eating disorders education and training for healthcare providers and they promote public awareness of eating disorders. It is their goal to ensure that all individuals with eating disorders are identified, treated, and supported in recovery.
Like F.E.A.S.T., NCEED believes that though eating disorders are serious conditions, they can be treated effectively when providers and caregivers have the necessary knowledge and skills.
NCEED identified a few areas of potential collaboration with F.E.A.S.T. As a first step, NCEED has added FEAST 30 Days to their website as a resource. We are hoping that this will enable our innovative program to reach more families who need the valuable information provided in FEAST 30 Days. The more clinicians know about it, the more they can recommend it to the families under their care.
F.E.A.S.T. is truly appreciative that NCEED is supporting FEAST by featuring FEAST 30 Days on their website and we look forward to further collaboration going forward. In addition, F.E.A.S.T. is actively seeking more partners across the world so that we can expand our global reach.
