F.E.A.S.T. is a vital, valuable, and vibrant grassroots organization that has a tremendous impact on the parent eating disorders community. If you are a parent who has benefited from F.E.A.S.T. then you know how valuable our services are. What you may not know is that behind the scenes, under the capable and dedicated leadership of our Executive Director Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh, there is a community of committed volunteers who keep F.E.A.S.T’s services up and running 24/7 for parents around the world. Eating disorders don’t take a break, and neither do we.
Our volunteers work from their dining rooms, their kitchens, their laundry rooms, their bedrooms, and sometimes even from their cars! It seems like we have a large workforce based on the services that we provide to families in need of support, empowerment, and education; but in essence, F.E.A.S.T. is comprised of a small group of wonderful, devoted volunteers who answer our parent support lines, moderate our parent forums, advocate globally for better eating disorder treatment, develop content for our website, handle many of our tech issues, and serve on our Board of Directors and numerous committees.
Another thing that many people don’t realize is that F.E.A.S.T. is funded solely by donations. We rely on the generosity of our parent community to remain financially sustainable. We are in a position now where we need to ask for donations in order to continue helping the families who need us the most. We are asking people to give what they can, when they can. Whether it’s a one time donation or a monthly commitment, a small sum or a larger sum, please consider donating to F.E.A.S.T. today so that we can carry on throwing life preservers to the many parents who are trying to keep their heads above the water while leading their children toward eating disorder recovery.
Just sent a few Bob. Don’t know where we’d be without you all. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your generosity!
